Comic Book Guy and Babyface have a love/hate relationship, they find each other’s company online mutually reassuring (better the devil you know) however they would cut each other’s throats commercially if they had the opportunity with Babyface currently having the upper hand in this struggle.
When asked about similarities with the Simpsons CBG character Simpsons contributor Hank Azaria noted that the difference with Neylon is that he "loves that the character is an adult who argues with adults as if they're children."
