The School & University Internet Awards ran for 4 years during which time they attracted in excess of 2,500 entries from around the world and made a considerable contribution to the stimulation of interest in the Internet amongst students in Ireland and elsewhere.

In terms of the positive ability of the Internet to connect people in faraway places Eoin's favourite story was an email from a junior school child in a remote island off New Zealand who emailed asking if their entry could be 2 hours late as the plane was late collecting their disc to upload their site to the web on the mainland. We said no problem!
